From a very young age I have always been interested in rocks however, they were usually used for throwing! Many years later, although my rock throwing days were over, my Father-in-law had one that really caught my mind and my imagination! He had a large piece of Texas white limestone sitting on the hearth of his fireplace. He had inlaid, fairly deeply into the stone, a cross. It fascinated me. It wasn't just the fact of the object was inlaid deeply into the stone, but that it was a CROSS. It was like a hidden treasure in the stone. That was the first time I had seen something like that. It was rustic and primitive and seemed to carry so much insight. It seemed to be a message of God's love inside our hard hearts. I never lost the image of that stone.

Later in my life, I became fascinated by the thought of combining stone and
other contrasting materials. I really liked the idea of putting metal into stone, not just mixing them, but "marrying them" together. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to try to do something that took two alien mediums and put them together to form a unique item. I believe that God inspired me to place a metal cross into the stone with the idea that as the metal rusted and decayed, it would leave a "bleeding" effect in the stone, just as blood would if left on stone. By cutting into the stone to make a design of the cross for the metal cross to lay in, it also left a permanent mark that would be filled with "blood" from the rusting metal.

When we ask Jesus into our hearts, He "carves" a spot in us for Himself. And in Himself, He "carves" a spot for us. We are children of God that are permanently marked by His blood, just like the stone that has been carved out for a cross and then left with the rust staining ("bleeding").

In some stones, instead of inlaying metal, I carve a cross and then use a natural substance to resemble the "bleeding" effect. This produces a beautiful work with a completely different image and outcome.

These stones are created to remind us of the One True Living God. He deserves all our praise! As Luke 19:40 says, if we don't praise Him,
" The stones will cry out to praise Him"!

Each stone designed by STONE CRY is unique, just like each of us.There are stones that may be similar, based upon a particular pattern or design, but no two stones are exactly alike. These stones are not computer generated.STONE CRY takes special effort to hand pick each stone and leaves them in their more natural or "rustic" form. They are picked for their individuality and then hand crafted. These stones are individual creations that are created to remind us that if we don't "cry out" in PRAISE to GOD, the stones will!

The different patterns or designs used can be reproduced to closely resemble the stones shown, but each stone is individually crafted. On the back of each stone is inlaid a weatherproof template indicating STONE CRY as the designer.

These stones are "statement pieces" that can be placed in your garden; at your front door; on your desk; as a memorial; as a decorative item in your home. Not only do these stones "cry out" in PRAISE to GOD also they share the Gospel with those who see them. They are conversation pieces that can open a door to share THE WORD.

All stones are individually made. Designs or patterns can be fashioned similar to the examples, or I will try to create one based on your idea or desire. The metal crosses and hearts are all inlaid into the stone. If they are left outside in the elements the metal will rust. The rusting will "bleed" into the stone, appearing to be as blood.

There are more designs to come.

If there is a style or pattern from more than one stone that you would like to incorporate into your own stone creation, STONE CRY can make it for you. If there is Scripture you would like placed into stone, either by itself or incorporated with a cross or a heart; this can be done also.

Most of the stones are Texas white limestone. Cost depends on the size of the stone or the amount of work required on the stone, i.e. scripture, candle holder, metal cross, or metal heart. Most of these stones are in the $40.00 price range. However, they
can vary from $25.00 to $125.00. Also, the cost of shipping is based upon the size & weight.

Shown at left are just a few examples of our work. Click on any image to see a larger version with more details, including dimensions, approximate weight, and how the Lord led us to create this particular stone.

Since shipping is dependent upon both the location it will go to, and the final weight of the stone, shipping charges will not be calculated until the item is ready to ship, at which time I will notify you via email of the charges. The item will be shipped once I receive notification from PayPal of a completed transaction, or payment by mail. No stones can be shipped as "freight collect."

If you would like to know more, or discuss a particular type of stone or scripture to use, please contact me.
