Stained Celtic Cross:
Stained Medium size Celtic cross carved into the stone.

Description:
This medium size Celtic cross was hand carved into the Texas white limestone. This particular stone was chosen because of the unique dark flint rock that is in the upper left corner of the stone. After the cross was carved out, a stain was applied then a sealer was used to protect the staining process. The dark flint reminds us of the sin that Jesus took upon Himself. Like the stone, we are trying to be completely washed white, but we still live in a sinful world.. But fear not, God has the upper hand and we, unlike the stone, will be washed clean by the blood of Jesus!!
This style and size of Celtic cross has been used in numerous designs. Sometimes the cross has been carved to appear "raised"by carving away the stone surrounding the cross. Other times the style of cross has been carved in such a manner that it appears to have an "inner" cross. This is what the staining does also. It appears to have a white inner cross.
